Brad Pitt in Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglourious Basterds'

Here’s your first look at Brad Pitt in costume on the set of Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds. Pitt has the starring role in this remake of the Dirty Dozen-ish WWII adventure as Lt. Aldo Raine, known to the Germans as Aldo the Apache for his practice of scalping his victims. (Sounds like a combo of his Troy and Legends of the Fall characters.)

Show of hands: Who’s as excited about this movie as we are?

UPDATE: Yes, “Inglourious Basterds” is Tarantino’s spelling of the title in the current shooting script. He had spelled it correctly in previous incarnations of the screenplay, including the version EW reported on in July.
