GRAND RAPIDS, MI (CelebrityAccess) — R&B singer Kehlani abruptly canceled her concert on stage, telling the audience that she thought she might need to seek medical attention because she felt unwell.
In a video of the moment, the 22-year-old artist appeared on stage before her May 8th show at The Intersection in Grand Rapids, Mich, to tearfully explain that she'd be unable to performa and to offer fans refunds out of her "own pocket" if they wanted them.
"I truly feel like I might have to go to the hospital at this point, because I feel crazy," she told the crowd as she choked back tears. "I'm so sorry."
Kehlani later attempted to clarify her statements, suggesting that she canceled the show due to exhaustion or illness and taking issue with reports that she was experiencing mental health issues.
"Hey guys not sure why blogs are reporting that I had a mental breakdown but mentally I'm fucking fantastic lol physically tour is EXHAUSTING and people get sick all the time," she wrote in an Instagram post that was later removed.
Then, in another post, she attributed the cancelation to a bout of the flu, writing "back on the road tomorrow after I beat this gaaahdamn fluuuuu!!! Fuckin love y'all!! Grand Rapids show being rescheduled to top of next month , if you was there last night you know the real, fuck all that noise."
