The third movie in the DreamWorks Animation Trolls franchise, Trolls Band Together, is coming to UK cinemas on October 20 and the brand new trailer has just been released.
Not only does the trailer give us a glimpse into the relationship of lead characters Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and Branch (Justin Timberlake), but it’s also been announced that the movie will feature a new *NSYNC track called ‘Better Place’, the boyband’s first new release in over 20 years!
The trailer itself shows Poppy discovering Branch’s secret past – he was once a member of her favourite boyband phenomenon, BroZone, with his four brothers: Floyd (Troye Sivan), John Dory (Eric André), Spruce (Daveed Diggs) and Clay (Kid Cudi). BroZone disbanded when Branch was still a baby, as did the family, and Branch hasn’t seen his brothers since.
When Branch’s brother Floyd is kidnapped by a pair of nefarious pop-star villains—Velvet (Amy Schumer) and Veneer (Andrew Rannells), Branch and Poppy embark on an emotional journey to rescue Floyd and reunite the brothers once and for all.
Trolls Band Together features a string of new and classic pop hits, in addition to new characters Viva (Camila Cabello), Crimp (Zosia Mamet), and Miss Maxine (RuPaul Charles). They star alongside returning characters Bridget (Zooey Deschanel), Gristle (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), Satin and Chenille (Icona Pop duo Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt), Prince D (Anderson .Paak), Cooper (Ron Funches), Guy Diamond (Kunal Nayyar), and Tiny Diamond (Kenan Thompson).
Whilst we’re incredibly excited for the movie, we’re also thrilled for the highly anticipated *NSYNC reunion! The five-piece boyband, made up of Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, and Chris Kirkpatrick, caused a stir on Tuesday when they appeared together at the MTV VMA’s and presented the award for best pop to Taylor Swift for ‘Anti-Hero’.
The band played into the rumours by posting a fun TikTok, referencing a famous Rachel and Joey scene in Friends, before Justin took to Instagram to share a video of the band in the studio. ‘Better Place’ is due for release on September 29.
